Refunds

PrepNourish refund policy

Effective date: 3 April 2026. This policy applies to meal plans, subscriptions, and orders placed through PrepNourish's website and related channels.

1. Governing law

This refund policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from or relating to this policy or your purchase shall, subject to mandatory provisions of applicable Nigerian consumer protection law, be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

2. General position

All refunds, credits, and replacements are granted solely at PrepNourish's discretion. We do not operate a routine refund programme and generally do not favour cash refunds. Customers should assume that payments are final and non-refundable unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing in a specific case.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or limit any liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the laws of Nigeria, including rights that may apply to you as a consumer under applicable consumer protection legislation.

3. Subscription and meal-plan payments

Fees for meal plans, subscriptions, and prepaid periods are collected to cover menu planning, procurement, kitchen production, and logistics. Once your order or billing period has been accepted and processing or preparation has begun (or the cut-off for changes has passed, as communicated at checkout or by support), you should not expect a refund of those fees in cash.

If you believe an exception applies, you may contact us using the details in section 7. We will consider the facts of your case; any concession remains at our sole discretion and does not create a precedent for future orders.

4. Quality, spoilage, or error attributable to us

If a meal is unfit for consumption due to spoilage, contamination, or a clear error for which we are responsible (for example a mis-preparation clearly attributable to our kitchen, assessed by us), we may, at our discretion, offer a remedy such as:

  • replacement of the affected meal(s) on a subsequent delivery; or
  • a credit or voucher toward a future order,

We do not commit to cash refunds for these issues. You must notify us promptly (ideally within twenty-four (24) hours of delivery or discovery) with a clear description and, where reasonably possible, supporting photographs. We may require return or disposal instructions for the affected product. Failure to report in good time may affect our ability to assess the claim.

5. Damage or loss in transit

If meals are damaged or materially compromised in transit in a way that we attribute to our delivery process or carrier (as determined by us after review), we may, at our discretion, arrange replacement of the affected items on a later delivery date or offer an alternative remedy such as a credit or voucher. Cash refunds are not the default outcome.

You should inspect deliveries on receipt where practicable and report damage or missing items without undue delay.

6. Circumstances we typically do not refund

Without limiting our discretion, we are unlikely to offer refunds or credits where, for example:

  • you change your mind after payment and preparation or dispatch has begun or the stated change deadline has passed;
  • delivery failed because you provided an incorrect address or were unavailable without reasonable prior notice in line with our delivery terms;
  • the issue arises from personal taste preference rather than a quality or safety defect;
  • meals were stored or handled contrary to our instructions after delivery.

8. Changes

We may update this refund policy from time to time. The version on this page is the current version. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above; continued use of our services after changes constitutes your acknowledgement of the updated policy where permitted by law.
